I love the hardwoods, granite and cabinets we chose. :)
We visited the design center for our builder yesterday. It took us 2.5 hours to choose everything and it was a lot of fun. The hardwood flooring will be throughout the majority of the first floor. It is hickory that is stained really dark Java. I love all the grooves and scraping in it. It makes me think of Pottery Barn. I adore it and so does Clayton. The cabinets look almost black but they are really a very dark brown called Espresso. The granite is Santa Cecilia and it will help contrast the dark floors and cabinets. I can't wait to see this combination together. It's going to be fabulous!!
This is going to be in the master bath. Clayton chose everything and I think he did a great job. It will definitely be masculine looking. The walls, shower and tub will all be tiled with the big brown ones. The decorative tiles will surround everything. The photo shows a soap dish but it will actually be a corner shelf instead. We never use bar soap so the shelf will be of more use to us.

Nice choices! I loved and hating picking everything out - trying not to stress about such BIG decisions with LITTLE samples. I love your hardwoods! We have the same granite in our kitchen. It will be ready for you guys to move in before you can believe it!
I hated having to make big choices from little samples too! I wish there was a way to envision everything together before everything is set in stone, so to speak. One day you will have to give me a tour so I can see your castle. ;)
We went with the same color hardwood floor and cabinets, but we did Luna Pearl granite. I'm beginning to second guess because I love the color of your granite! Hmm....maybe I'll have to call our sales rep to see if we can change!
I have no clue what Luna Pearl looks like. Was it an upgrade? The Santa Cecilia was in the standard granite options so we didn't have to upgrade. I liked all 6 of the base granite samples we were offered. Considering I like to bump everything up in price, hubby was thrilled that I chose a standard granite, lol.
It wasn't an upgrade. It's a white color, but I'm worried it may be too dirty looking. I love the way yours turned out. It looks amazing.
Thanks gal but I gotta say that I really love the Luna Pearl too. I just looked it up and it was the one that was my second choice. I don't think that you have anything to worry about. It's going to look fabulous!
