Isn't she lovely?

I received my first KitchenAid mixer at 17 when I graduated high school.  My aunt Judy bought it for me.  It was white and I loved it.  After 17 years of use, making cake icing has started to wear down the motor so I decided to replace it with this gorgeous girl.  The color is aqua sky and it is going to match the backsplash that I have picked out for the kitchen.

  1. This is beautiful Brandy!!! I have wanted a Kitchen Aid for years. I plan to purchase one for our new home. I was tickled when I saw it in all stainless steel which is the backdrop color for my new kitchen. Once we move in the color may change because I know I will use a pop of color for a wow factor! The aqua is so pretty! What do you like about it the most (kitchen aid)?

Please join my blog at ricknadase.blogspot.com I would love to follow your journey!

    Congratulations and Happy Baking!!

  2. Love it! My hand mixer recently died and I'm so coveting my first kitchen aid stand! Enjoy, she is pretty! I want the lemon chiffon even though all of my other appliances ate red. The soft yellow is just so pretty!

  3. You are right Julie, the colors are amazing and I really liked the lemon chiffon too. I just wasn't sure it would fit in my decor. I ended up purchasing the antique copper. Not as bright and pretty as I would like it to be but it is an awesome machine.

  4. I love the antique copper and the lemon chiffon. You gals have good taste. My old one was white and I hated that it wasn't one of the pretty colors. The thing I like best about KA is that they last a long time. I had my white one for 17 years and it was still a great mixer. The only reason I bought a new one was the color. I probably could have kept the first one forever. Also, I am a cake decorator and icing is really hard on the mixer's motor. I knew my first one was slowing down a little from all the icing so I gave it to my mom to make room for my shiny new one. She doesn't make icing, so she will likely get many years use out of it.
