I found this beautiful rug on clearance at Pier 1. The colors really pop against my light carpet. I love it! I ended up getting some beautiful curtains to match but you can only see a smidgen of them in the top photo. I tried to take a good pic of them but they all were washed out due to the sunlight. I will attempt to get a good pic of them at night soon. Now I need to get some pretty throw pillows to tie it all together. :)
BTW-Those round pillow things are where the kiddos sit when they watch Clayton play Xbox.

I like the chest/coffee table. My wife is very anti-coffee table. So we are looking for a Ottoman. Then I will either make or buy a nice tray to sit on top to hold drinks and whatnot.
ReplyDeleteI like those round "pillow things" too.
I have enjoyed reading about your home building journey! My husband and I have also chosen the Dorsey Hall plan by Ryan for our new home. We just started planning, and will close at the end of August. Your blog gave us an idea of what to expect! I'm excited to see more pictures to get inspiration of how you decorated your new home.
ReplyDeleteI don't like coffee tables very much either but the chest is cool. The top splits in the middle and slides apart. It is full of blankets and movies. I love having the hidden storage.
ReplyDeleteIt's great to see another person building a Dorsey Hall! I scoured the internet to find someone else building this model but to no avail. It's a new model (previously was the Dorchester) so I guess that's why you can't find much info. on it. Have you seen an actual model? If not, I can send you a ton of pics of a decorated one that we have here in our community. Just let me know. I am happy to help in any way that I can. :)
